چکیده

Introduction: Increased mortality owing to breast and lung cancer is an urgent global medical issue. Nanotherapy one of the most widely used recent procedures for combating cancer. Therefore, this study aimed assess beneficial effects multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) precisely target (MCF-7) (A549) cell lines. Multi-walled nanomaterials are considered as a typical biocompatible nanomaterial that can be in drug delivery without causing side effects. On contrary, metallic nanoparticles, even noble metals, reported have still unavoidable. Methods: The MWCNTs were purified stabilized using Arabic gum aqueous solution under ultrasonic radiation. Scanning transmission electron microscopy (SEM TEM, respectively) employed characterize morphology MWCNTs, elemental analysis was performed SEM determine their chemical composition. Results: investigated had average diameter 10–12 nm mainly composed 99.4% other trace elements. emulsifying agent found powerful stabilizing solutions. cytotoxic effect MWCNT/ colloidal on MCF-7 A549 evaluated by 3-(4,5- dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide lactate dehydrogenase assays, expression apoptosis-related genes assessed quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction human apoptosis signaling antibody array. This clarify additional pathways involved, including those mediated interleukin-1, tumor necrosis factor-α, ceramide enrichments. Concerning inhibition growth, efficacy MWCNT/Arabic IC50 (48.23 μg/mL) higher than (100.1 μg/mL). enhanced mRNA apoptosis-associated encoding P53, Bax, Caspases (9, 8, 3). Upregulation apoptotic pathway lysates observed before after exposure solution. Conclusion: physicochemical properties exhibited remarkable activity However, further vivo investigations recommended molecular aspects related use gum.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes induce cytotoxicity, genotoxicity and apoptosis in normal human dermal fibroblast cells.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) have won enormous popularity in nanotechnology. Due to their unusual, one dimensional, hollow nanostructure and unique physicochemical properties they are highly desirable for use within the commercial, environmental and medical sectors. Despite their wide application, little information is known concerning their impact on human health and the environment. ...

Effects of berberine on proliferation, cell cycle distribution and apoptosis of human breast cancer T47D and MCF7 cell lines

Objective(s):Berberine, a naturally occurring isoquinoline alkaloid, has shown antitumor properties in some in vitro systems. But the effect of berberine on breast cancer has not yet been completely studied. In this study, we evaluated anticancer properties of berberine in comparison to doxorubicin. Materials and Methods: The antiproliferative effects of berberine and doxorubicin alone and in ...
